Ex-Avon and P&G Exec Moves to Lauder

Patricia Lopez aims to drive business in North America.

As The Estée Lauder Companies looks to strengthen sales in North America, the namesake brand has announced that Patricia Lopez has been named to the position of senior vice president, general manager, for Estée Lauder and Aerin Beauty, North America. She will assume her new position on January 12, 2015, reporting to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, global brand president, Estée Lauder and Thia Breen, group president, North America, The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc.
 
“With over 25 years of marketing, strategy, consumer focus, leadership and international responsibilities, Patricia comes with a wealth of experience to help drive our North American business forward,” said Hudis.  “I look forward to working closely with Patricia on accelerating our momentum and attracting the next generation of consumers.”
 
Most recently Lopez served as the chief marketing officer at Avon Products, Inc. where she was one of the top five executives. In that role, she drove Avon’s strategic direction and managed the company’s $10 billion global marketing and R&D budget with a focus on image, quality and innovation. 
 
Prior to joining Avon, she spent 25 years with P&G, holding leadership positions in diverse consumer goods categories. She became the vice president/general manager for Eastern Europe.  
 
In her role at Estée Lauder, Lopez will be responsible for the flagship brand of the company in North America, overseeing strategy, retail channels, the growth of online, locally relevant programs, and media strategies.  Patricia will also nurture and develop Aerin Beauty as it grows its luxury fragrance and beauty business.
